Dear Blog,

This will be my final post here. I know I haven’t shared much lately, and that’s because the past few months have been heavy, with a lot of ups and downs.

Vietnam:
Vietnam is a closed-off country, so spreading the gospel was harder than in most places. We were told by our ministry host that we could share the gospel one-on-one with people, but not in front of large groups.

While in Vietnam, we did college ministry and were able to build some really meaningful relationships with students. We hosted English classes at coffee shops and visited universities to invite students to join. Through building relationships, we were able to share the gospel as we got to know them.

During our time in Vietnam, my team struggled to get along. We spent a lot of time having emotionally draining conversations focused on feelings and emotions that, unfortunately, didn’t bring much resolution. The only time we truly felt aligned was when we were doing ministry together.

I’m also sad to share that I experienced a lack of support from leadership. When concerns were raised—especially when something didn’t feel biblical—they were often dismissed.

By the end of our time in Vietnam, one of my teammates made the difficult decision to return home due to all the drama and the strain it was to her mental health.

Just a few days before entering the Philippines, we were told our leaders were going to switch and that our team would be about two hours away from the rest of the squad, in a city called Tondo. Two weeks earlier, we had been told our team needed to be with other teams and that we would be in Cainta instead. This caused a lot of confusion for some of us, and it felt discouraging and hard to understand.

After much prayer and discernment, two of my teammates and I no longer felt peace about continuing with Adventures in Mission. We believe God has a different plan for us, and we are choosing to follow His leading.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, prayed, and encouraged me through this journey. If you have questions or want to talk more, please to reach out!
