Hey everyone! Week 2 and 3 of training camp flew by! I’ve seen God work through my squad mate’s life, and experienced a lot of freedom myself!

We had our squad wars on week 2! Our squad, C squad, won! That night we also had a revival worship night as well as baptisms. I had gotten baptized last November and wasn’t planning on being baptized. God started stirring my heart, and I realized I was holding on to a lot of fear- fear of what people would think of me because of my faith. I don’t want to live with one foot in the world and one foot in God’s Kingdom – I want to live fully for Jesus! As I was there worshipping God- I heard come and be baptized. I had heard a lot of testimonies of people being baptized again. God used that to break chains, bring healing, and some much more. I was a little confused and anxious at first, but after a friend prayed over me, I felt God’s peace. I got baptized and got to experience many other baptisms. There were so many people set free that night!

We had another revival night this past Thursday. It was amazing, there was a lot of heaviness at the start of the evening. But the end of the night the room was filled with joy as we praised God together!
This past week we’ve been having sessions on spiritual warfare. I’ve heard some crazy testimonies that left me astonished! It’s so crazy to hear all the amazing ways God moves! We also had breakout groups this past week. I went to the spiritual gifts breakouts. Wow I’m mind blown at the power and different gifts we receive with the Holy Spirit!
We’ve been given the ability to uber on our free days and on Sabbath. It’s been a lot of fun to go out shopping and to coffee shops. I’ve really enjoyed the conversations we’ve been able to have with our uber drivers. Something God has been teaching me is that we have so many opportunities to share the gospel with others in public or even ask if we can pray for others.
Our squad broke out into 5 teams. There are 4 girls teams and 1 boy teams. Each team is lead my a squad leader, and this is the team you’ll be with most of the time on the whole trip. We officially received our teams this week! Our team name is Charis- it’s a Greek word from scripture that basically means grace & delight.

On Tuesday I got the opportunity to go hike my first mountain, Mount Yonah! It was about a 2 mile hike and I absolutely loved it. We took hiking backpacks, coolers, and firewood with us as well, so our packs were kind of heavy. A few of our squad accidentally got off trail and had to scale up the side of the steep mountain, they definitely didn’t enjoy the hike as much as the rest of us. We stayed overnight on the top and hiked back down to go to Chick-fil-a at 6am.

There are also girls nights as well! We had one last week; we watched Tangled, had snacks, did face masks, and had a lot of fun!

Today we are on the way to Black Mountain, North Carolina. This area was affected by a hurricane a year ago and we will be helping build houses, clean, minister, and whatever else they need. We are in this area till the 26th, then have a week back at training camp before we head to Colombia!
I’m so excited for the journey ahead and can’t wait to see what God’s will is! I would love prayers that I would be lead by the Holy Spirit and not by my emotions. And for discernment as well; I often don’t know if the thought is me or God speaking to me. I feel like I’m struggling in this and would love extra prayers!
